Medium Sketchbook 5

*She didn't come home for days, and when she finally did, her face was cut and her hair was torn.  She seemed to think that she had lost part of herself; that there was nothing she could do.  I kissed what remained of her topaz locks, telling her that she was still beautiful to me, perhaps even more so.  She took me.  When we were done she asked me if I would find another partner.  I asked her why.  She said she was afraid that soon I would no longer be attracted to her eternally youthful body.  I laughed, saying that I was worried she thought the same of my decaying body.  She smiled [in] that twisted way I love--"never."  I couldn't tell her that I [had] missed her.
